On the 10thof January 2017, William attended his fist engagement of 2017. William visited Centrepoint Ealing, to hear about their projects. This hostel helps young people from 16-25 years of age. Centrepoint was one of Williams first patronages and also one of his mothers patronages. While there William learned about one of their upcoming projects about a Homeless Helpline. William also took part in a workwise session. This is a week programme, which helps homeless people overcome problems they face and get a job.
On the 11th of January 2017, Kate attended her first Engagement of 2017, She visited The Anna Freud National Centre. Kate was there to learn about the Early Years Parenting Unit. This unit opened in April 2011 (the month Kate and William got married). This unit provides services with an aim to keep a family together. While there Kate met with some of families benefiting from the unit. She attended a theraplay session. Later on in the Day Kate joined William and they visited a Child Bereavement Centre, to mark it’s one year anniversary. This centre helps children or babies when they have to deal with bereavement they face. While there Kate and William took part in a memory Jar exercise, while talking with the families and seeing how the centre helped them. After this, The Cambridge’s cut a one year anniversary cake.
